The biggest football tournament on the planet has just kicked off across the USA, Canada and Mexico, and for the next five weeks, offices everywhere will be running on three things: coffee, kick-off times and bold predictions.
So we thought we'd make it interesting.

How it works
Entering takes less than a minute:
1. Pick your champion. Tell us which of the 48 teams you think will lift the trophy on 19 July 2026.
2. Submit your entry through the form below before 11:59 pm AEST, Thursday 25 June 2026, while the group stage is still live.
When the final whistle blows in July, the entrant who picked the correct champion and came closest to the tiebreaker wins the $100 gift card. If two entries are equally close, the earliest entry wins. Simple.
We'll confirm your entry by SMS the moment it lands, and the winner will get the good news by text and email within 48 hours of the final.
Why is an IT company running a football comp?
Fair question. Two reasons.
First, plenty of our clients and partners are mad about football, and we like an excuse to have some fun with the people we work with all year round.

Terms and Conditions
Promoter: Synex Technology Pty Ltd, Brisbane QLD ("Synex").
Entry period: Opens 13 June 2026 and closes 11:59 pm AEST on 25 June 2026. Entries received after the closing time will not be accepted.
How to enter: Submit the online entry form with your name, contact details, predicted tournament champion and tiebreaker answer. Entry is free; no purchase is necessary.
One entry per person: Strictly one (1) entry per person. Duplicate or multiple entries (including entries submitted using different email addresses or mobile numbers by the same person) will be disqualified, and only the first valid entry received will be accepted.
Valid contact details: The winner announcement and all competition communications will be sent via SMS and email only. Entrants must provide a valid mobile number and a valid email address at the time of entry. Synex is not responsible for entries that cannot be contacted due to incorrect, inactive or unreachable contact details, and such entries may be deemed invalid.
Determining the winner: This is a game of skill. The major prize winner is the eligible entrant who correctly predicts the tournament champion and whose tiebreaker answer is closest to the actual total goals scored in the final.
Major prize: One (1) $100 AUD digital gift card or cash, awarded to the winner determined under clause 7. The prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash beyond the card's own terms.
Consolation prize: Where multiple entrants correctly predict the tournament champion, every eligible correct entrant other than the major prize winner will receive one (1) 12-month single-device antivirus (endpoint security) subscription, supplied by Synex and delivered as a licence or activation key by email. Limited to the first fifty (50) eligible correct entries received. The consolation prize is not transferable, not redeemable for cash, and cannot be exchanged for any other product or service. One consolation prize per person.
Notification: Winners will be notified by SMS and email within 48 hours of the tournament final, and the major prize winner may be announced on Synex's website and social media (first name and suburb only).
Unclaimed prize: If the major prize winner cannot be contacted within 14 days, the prize will be awarded to the next eligible entrant.
Privacy: Personal information is collected solely to administer this competition and is handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and Synex's Privacy Policy. Entrants will only receive marketing communications from Synex if they separately opt in on the entry form.
No affiliation: This competition is run independently by Synex Technology Pty Ltd and is not sponsored by, endorsed by, or associated with FIFA, the tournament organisers, or any participating team or federation.
